He Breathed The Breath Of Life
Genesis 2:7 NLT
[7] Then the Lord God formed the man from the dust of the ground. He breathed the breath of life into the man’s nostrils, and the man became a living person.
The aroma hit my nostrils when I opened the front door after a day of work.
The smell of spices in the cooked food indeed was rich but beyond that was something even more distinct
The room was filled with the aroma of Love
Love who provides that food
Love who protects me
Love who holds me in the quiet of the night with wrap-around love ( The Passion Translation describes it aptly.)
He wasn't physically there but I knew He was there. I gasped, paused for a moment at the threshold.
It felt like He had a towel in His hand waiting to serve me and like Peter, it would be futile to resist His efforts to love on me.
There was much to be done to serve man, which was to serve Him ultimately, but until I allowed to be loved on and served, could I do the same for His beloved humanity.( I do not wish for anyone to perish)
And I would not have to do it by my effort, because He would give me a Helper.
All I had to do was ask for help to my destiny for His glory and he moved from the passenger seat to the drivers seat. And off we go!
The aroma filled the house and I breathed in deeply as I crossed into the threshold of His rest, restoration, and ultimately His divine purposes.
Breathe on us again Breathe in us again Lord.
Like you did to Adam, like you did with Ezekiel in the valley of dry bones, breathe in and on us Lord.
May we take our first breath
May we take our last breath and every breath in between in worship , in reverend awe of you Yahweh
