Good Shepherds, Ravenous Wolves
John 21:15-17, 19 NKJV
[15] So when they had eaten breakfast, Jesus said to Simon Peter, “Simon, son of Jonah, do you love Me more than these?” He said to Him, “Yes, Lord; You know that I love You.” He said to him, “Feed My lambs.” [16] He said to him again a second time, “Simon, son of Jonah, do you love Me?” He said to Him, “Yes, Lord; You know that I love You.” He said to him, “Tend My sheep.” [17] He said to him the third time, “Simon, son of Jonah, do you love Me?” Peter was grieved because He said to him the third time, “Do you love Me?” And he said to Him, “Lord, You know all things; You know that I love You.” Jesus said to him, “Feed My sheep.
In uncertain times the good Shepherds will be revealed. Like Peter, their driving force will be love for the sheep, you and me
In the uncertain times, would your Shepherd guide and comfort, feed and tend to you and the wounded sheep?
Would they calm the confused and bewildered sheep?
Would he lay down his ife for his sheep, fight and defend his sheep or when the tough times come, run away and care for his safety and interests only?
Or conform
Or shout from the safety of the balcony of his house
Would he chase away the enemy of fear and doubt in their hearts and arise and strengthen the hearts of his flock or breed further confusion, division and hatred?
Be discerning.
Also beware of wolves in sheep's clothing who are amongst us and will eat us whole in the dark times, versus than the wolves themselves walking in plain sight confidently
Ps 23
John 101
Matthew 7:15, 20-23 NKJV
[15] “Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravenous wolves.
[20] Therefore by their fruits you will know them. [21] “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. [22] Many will say to Me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?’ [23] And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!’
