From Here On

His clothes were woven from coarse camel hair, and he wore a leather belt around his waist. For food he ate locusts and wild honey. Mark 1:6 NLT https://bible.com/bible/116/mrk.1.6.NLT John the Baptist was onto something here. He didnt have dishes to wash, didnt have to go the market for shopping, his food was all in the wild. And since he was in the water he didnt have do laundry 😂💦. But got the job done. He fulfilled his purpose on earth. Some would refer to it as the Empty Nest Syndrome, but I would like to look at it as Ive sent out my children out as disciples into the world now they've left home. It gives me an amazing time to rethink and thus redo things. John the Baptist makes me smile this morning as I am wondering what to eat today and from this point on. Cooking for the family and meeting all their needs is the most honourable and humbling service I have been accorded and forever thankful. Now like John, I need to continue the mandate i have been given while doing it honouring God. The honey and locusts must have been a balanced meal that nourished his body adequately and his mind to discern who Jesus was beyond being his cousin; the Lord. Our bodies being Gods temple, His dwelling place means they should be honoured. Honey and Locusts are a thought but I think better still is God is asking what we have in our hand that can honour Him. A meal of steamed bananas and vegetables and a fruit with good amounts of water should be ample sustenance of day 1 of the next season. There are many you tubers with amazing products and programs but why complicate it when people like John and Daniel set the path of which way to go. God's Word is complete. May our temples (bodies) be a testimony. May it not be the thing we worhip rather. For this tent, we will leave behind. As we go about the Fathers business, may we complete our mandate seeking His mind earnestly and our light shine brightly for all to long all He has for them
