The Why

When a lawyer and expert of the law asked Jesus what the most important commandment is, Jesus responded, "To love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind...The second is to love your neighbor as yourself."

The very premise we build our lives on is this foundational commandment.

It's the *WHY* we do all we do.
Why we live as we ought to

What mind boggling it is is that we are to love God with all our heart
All our mind
All our soul

....but He doesn't give the same commandment for us to love ourselves *or our neighbours*

Could it be that if we heed to love Him as He commands, with our very all He'll equip us to love ourselves and others?

He will teach us how to love ourselves how to love others . But it starts with us loving Him completely

Loving Him with our very essence.  Acts 17:28 ‘For in him we live and move and have our being.’[a]

to His ways, His will and His very nature every moment of our lives is His desire so that through us He can work in us and through us.

To attempt to love ourselves and others before loving God is to put the horse before the car. Nothing's going to happen. It's a car with no engine.

Let's search out.hearts truly and enquire *The Why*
May the answers point in the direction that we seek to glorify Him

1 Chronicles 28:9
New International Version
9 “And you, my son Solomon, acknowledge the God of your father, and serve him with wholehearted devotion(A) and with a willing mind, for the Lord searches every heart(B) and understands every desire and every thought. If you seek him,(C) he will be found by you; but if you forsake(D) him, he will reject(E) you forever

May our lives be in service to Him and to Him alone. (New King James Version
“No one can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or else he will be loyal to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and mammon- the God of this world) Matthew 6:24

He will then equip us with the knowledge, skills, wisdom, attitudes and various resources to love ourselves and others.

May *The Why* remain because we love God with all our heart and with all our soul, and with all our mind...and thereafter love our neighbors as ourselves."
