The Good Samaritan and The Jew

What were his thoughts as he lay there after being beaten

Maybe I deserved it?

Is my business complete on earth?

Did I live the best I could?

Are my children going to make it in life?

Have I given them adequate life lessons?

Am I certain where I am going after this?

Do I want a second chance or I've no regrets?

He heard footsteps

Were they more thugs

Surely am near dead but I want to live!!!

The footsteps faded

Some people feel we are too far gone we are best left alone

More footsteps

They faded

Some will save and will kill us , some holding us in enslavement for saving us.

But gentle hands came dirtied , bloodied themselves so that we can have life and life abundantly.

He lay in his bed wondering if he would have been the saving hands or not

He found he couldn't give an absolute answer

Someone said recently this was their least favourite parable because it really questioned how many times we have been pharisees not or believing people deserved a second chance. In his words.

Every time I read this parable, I realize my shortcomings in the area of meeting the needs of those around me. And the fact that I can relate so well to the priest and the Levite in the story leaves me squirming in my seat. Perhaps you understand what I mean.

How long he lay there we don't know.

How long are peoples tough seasons, not even they can dictate

May the tough times be few and far between

When they come, May friends, faith and support be plentiful and close. The Master is coming to heal and restore

Luke 10:25-37.

They stole from Him, stripped him naked And left him for dead. Trademark of the enemy. To steal kill and destroy even your reputation.

....But the nameless Good Samaritan we now know isn't nameless. He us our saviour who wills us to to live in abundance as well as being His hands and feet Isaiah 61:1-9
