Afro Weight

Another night in the country. The power is out. Another excuse not to turn on the TV and rather sit and read and bond with baby in my candle lit bedroom.

Its a full moon and its light peeks thru the light curtains. The lights return but makes no difference except to switch on awesome worship on the Christian radio channel, Hope FM. The candlelight is just fine.

Baby and I go out to star gaze. The neighbour has definitely turned his cows manure :-) . We can stay indoors and star gaze.

It's now a year, and two days since we moved here. Its almost unbelievable. We are definitely not the same. Fadhili is twice his weight and I doubt its the afro he is sporting that's got to do with his weight.

I am much lighter in more ways than one. Zawadi on the other hand is soaring. They say thriving like weeds; I like to think more like bamboo.

Its not a perfect life but its amazing what healed and expectant hearts can hold, can see, can do.

Tonight, in the beauty of the moonlight, remember what really matters. Whats got you this far. Love, grace, miracles. And more awaits you.

You are loved by Love Himself.
