Its officially winter time on the slopes. Yes our beautiful motherland astride the equator has winter. That time off the year you cant see 5 metres ahead of you because of mist. Temperatures drop low enough for Florence the brown hen not to lay me any eggs and kitty gets brave enough to sit on my lap. The extra duvets are brought out from the stores and lay on the bed. Dreams vivid, handkerchiefs plenty.
Florence has faithfully given me eggs so a break might be good. The amaranth bush is flourishing and they say its rich in protein. So that covers the lack of eggs. Kittys warmth works for both of us. I get to pat him, he purrs.
We have enough for each of the seasons we go through. We may not believe so initially but if we look hard enough, we're well equipped to make it through.
Your season may seem bleak now but if you dig deep within, you have the resources to make it through.
