Clothes in old english are worn 'to cover our shame'. It tickles me to hear that phrase because does it mean the bigger we are the more shame we have?
I digress. Too many children and women are 'naked' today. They are exposed to the elements and the enemies. Their covering is gone. Fathers are gone. Husbands are gone. We could plead the case of poor role models for the fathers but does it mean it should carry on for several more generations. Put your foot down men and say enough is enough and protect your own. Fumble but start somewhere. Use the men in the bible to learn from, to teach our boys but please refuse your children to grow as weeds, your wives to roam the streets. They need you.
Emancipation for women doesn't give them the green light to cut the men's hearts and ego's with cold, degrading words. Wisdom, love and gentleness will keep our men alive; alive to fulfill their roles not just alive because their hearts beat.
