Getting your day started requires an element often forgotten; surrender. Giving back to God what is His gift to us, provides for power incomparable. Its often misconstrued as weakness but it is strength. It is not for cowards or doormats.
Surrendering to God is not passive resignation, fatalism or an excuse for laziness. Its not accepting the status quo.
Surrendering is not putting your brain in neutral and giving up rational thinking. God would not waste the mind He gave you nor wants robots to serve Him.
Surrender is not repressing your personality. God wants to use your unique personality. Rather than being diminished, surrendering enhances your uniqueness. C.S Lewis observes, the more we let God take over, the more truely ourselves we become.
