School books need covering

Covering princess's text books with protective cover, because we as parents must . Yesterday i questioned why i do it.
Why do i? There are those who don't and still get away with it despite it being a regulation from schools.
I am pretty good at it anyways. Its therapeutic so i do it.
Wish it was just about text books but i realise its much more. Something about authority and preserving our blessings is found in the humility of sharpening blunt scissors and getting sticky in cellotape to cover books we could walk to and pay for . Humilty in appreciating each book i cover and rub out the price(for indeed it costs, but is none of our childrens business how much it costs), write their name , so our children achieve a sense of pride and responsibility for whats in front of them, for whats their, so we hope. They may never for they are young but we are are old enough to appreciate the implications of hearing her school calling at 11 am causing me sweats. It works out fine between the school, us, child and our internal battles. Thats probably why some tremble at new responsibility. We grow, in the humility of covering school books, dont you think?
