At the art gallery

Unapologetically, she calls it as it is. A fake. No judgement, just the realisation that thats what it is. Its not authentic even though everyone wow's at it and wants to own one just like it. They'll work longer hours, neglect their children, their spouses, their bodies, their souls if they must, but they must own it. Instructions, if you shine this glass in a fancy frame long enough, you'll see a perfect picture of you and all your dreams come true. Promises that it will even have your name on it, you only have to rub the glass. They buy it at a pretty price and try to shine it. And a picture emerges. They rub and rub. Ask others to rub it for them too. Little change a long while later. They'll use alcohol or a substitute but the picture doesn't change. Its the same picture as the next persons! In the corner where should be the signature of their dream life, is in bold typed font, Made in China. Another mass produced life emerges.
Across the gallery floor are mirrors. All free. Instructions, take it home with you and look inside real deep. There lies you, perfect, unique. Do nothing but appreciate your reflection. And with the Masters touch, the reflection is turned into a portrait of your life as it should be; perfect. No effort required. Simply let Him be the Master artist to let this original shine.
