When geniuses invent things, they are called so because they have an impact on the lives they touch
to ignore their creations could be blissful: as the people in the heart of remote areas of the world survive without them
but to acknowledge and half embrace it is to have a knife and hold it from the blade
Point of issue here is the internet, mobile phones, the works our children and our responsibilities as adults.
It must be appreciated that these tools apart from being forms of communication, these too are entertainment tools, relativity of what that term is being as such.
With cajoling and the convenience they provide, we hand our children phones and air time. And since we don’t know better, within hours their curious minds have moved deeper and deeper into the infinite cyber space.
Busy schedules and all forms of excuses on our part as parents, allows us to neglect the responsibility of monitoring our children and the tools we hand them. If we don’t, who will? They are at home safe from physical harm but their minds and souls? The infinite cyber space will look after our children.
I write this watching in trepidation from common social utilities on the web and moving to other social utilities will be burying my head in the soil. Lets take up our responsibilities and from within ourselves stand for what is right, we innately are born with knowing what is and what is not.
