Abound

Ever asked yourself how things played out after the epic tales of the Bible?

Like what was the relationship of Abraham and Isaac after the scary incident on the mountain? Was it strained, was there nervous laughter when Abraham ask Isaac to accompany him on a trip? Did Sarah have people secretly trail Abraham and Isaac on trips. Did Sarah protest a little louder on such a trip ?

How about the Prodigal Son? How long did it take for his whining brother accept his fathers grace? How did he feel when their father gave the Prodigal Son another piece of his property?

As on lookers of God's unfolding the destinies of others, could it be dangerous to meddle with God's work ?

What if Sarah tried to stop Abrahams 'sacrifice'? Prodigals brother probably complained to his father about the trouble of accepting his brother back. debt collectors will come a knocking, Prodigal Son might come home with a prostitute.

But when Prodigals father accepted his son back, grace covered his past sins. Grace allowed prodigal back into the loving arms of God. Grace allowed prodigal a second chance. And it didn't matter what a council of elders advised. it didn't matter how loud his other son whined. whether his son went to get certification that their father was not of sound mind to accept prodigal back. Grace abounded and covered and healed Prodigal.

God's story in peoples lives will unfold as they are meant to however  we judge them.

Sarah couldn't stop Abraham. whining brother couldn't stop grace abounding . Joseph's brothers couldn't stop him from becoming Prime Minister and they  bowed to Joseph.

Prodigals father didn't ask him to be accountable for his squandered inheritance but rather embraced him and adorned him with even more lavish gifts unconditionally and restored him to his rightful inheritance of son without signing any agreement stating what's his or not his. Allowing him access to only certain parts of the home. Prodigal was restored to his old bedroom and probably dad refurbished it!

Its easier to work with God to let His plan for lives unfold than stand in His way and play god. His plan will still unfold.

Luke 15:32 NIV

But we had to celebrate and be glad, because this brother of yours was dead and is alive again; he was lost and is found.'"
