Lips

infact her lips always moved always in worship and awe of a God no religion could boast to have

she had just witnessed a host of miracles that made their enemies knees melt 
 
she kissed her sleeping children 
knew what their future held but couldn't help wonder what hers was about.
she untied her sandals from her tired dusty feet and with resignation slept

It was another day around the mountain. 

at 1 am she felt a nagging tug in her heart that awoke her 
her mind raced with a million questions
was it really over ?

The Lord was about to wipe them out but Moses had negotiated and pleaded with God and in His compassion spared annihilation but all children under 20 would be spared. 
if there was room for compassion surely there could be room to plead once more to see the promised land at the throne of mercy

she knew of God's might 
she now sought His mercy
